Penniless 04:13
Life was better when I was penniless. Now all I find is weariness. Why can’t I give it all away to some poor soul who needs it? Who needs it? All signs pointed this direction. Now I could use a resurrection. If I could do it all over again, I’d know not distance or time. I’d know not distance or time.
2.
You were born in dust and wind. You and I have been there. Where dinosaurs have roamed. Tie my heart to a wild horse. When time takes me from here. So when I’m gone I can roam free. The sun is rising over The Winds. The morning mist will soon dry up. You and I have nowhere to go. Free my mind from time. Cast my eyes in the empty plains. So when I am gone maybe I can see you still. We’re so far from home. Oh, and I wanna know. Do you remember the snow? And all the places we’d go? And where we’ve been since then. Is gone like dust and wind. So tie my heart to a wild horse. When time takes me from here. So when I’m gone I can roam free.

Frozen all winter, fly, you’re again a living being. You’re trying to break free but you don’t know how. You need to stretch your wings on this warm sunny day in spring. Is there anything sadder than a fly on a screen? You’re so close. Almost. And I can’t bear to see it end this way. So long comatose. Ice broke. Unprovoked. It’s all gonna pass someday. I want to set you free but I see a bird up in the trees. Well, fuck it, cause everybody's gotta eat. I watched you fly so high, then I watched your spirit die. Sometimes I feel like you and I are the same. You’re so close. Almost. And I can’t bear to see it end this way. So long comatose. Ice broke. Unprovoked. It’s all gonna pass someday. You’re so close. Almost. And I can’t bear to see it end this way. So long comatose. Ice broke. Unprovoked. We’re all gonna pass someday.

Isabelle 04:18
Oh, Isabelle. I’ve known you for so long. Where did we go wrong? I remember you dancing in the rain. Life was so sweet then. Too young for worrying. You fell right out of a tree. And you rolled down the hill till you landed on me. We are still sitting there. Sunflowers golden. And tangled in your hair. I want what the river shares. But when I received what I sought, I just threw it away. Oh Isabelle. Isabelle. The river remains. And when I step in, it’s screaming your name. Then I swore I saw you dancing in the rain. Yet, my mind is a ghost and it likes to play games. Oh, Isabelle. I’ve known you for so long. Where did we go wrong?

Loose 01:58
Never miss a good opportunity to never say a word. And in the end it was those failed moments of silence That I ultimately would have preferred. It could be so simple but you’re stuck in your own noose. You tried to fit me in with you, but you could never get it that loose. When did you become such a wicked master of strings? Most people are genuinely good and not born with those kind if things. It could be so simple but you’re stuck in your own noose. You tries to fit me in with you, but you could never get it that loose.

I saw your reflection deep with in my mind. You were doing me a favor in a different place and time. So I followed my breath and I finally understood. That oftentimes day dreams don’t do you any good. Who are you trying to be? My elongated shadows no stranger to me. My body was there when you asked me to stay. Yet I wasnt even there anyway. I peaked through the glasses for a less distorted look. You grabbed me by my shoulders and said you are not a crook. So I followed my footsteps, I somehow already laid. Oftentimes nightmares are just shit that your mind has made. Who are you trying to be? My elongated shadows no stranger to me. My body was there when you asked me to stay. Yet I wasn’t even there anyway.

The String 04:20
You try. And you try. To do the right thing. And it left you hanging on a string. When you look in the mirror, does your conscience stay clear? Or do you make it all disappear? The past’s on your back, Jack, and it’s a matter of fact that you ain’t gonna shake it. Cause you’re the one who made it. So you better get used to the pain. And climb higher up the string. You’ve done all that you can. And you’ve roughed up your hands. You’ve left everything. Just where it stands. Just when you think that you knew. You don’t have a clue. But maybe next time, you’ll know what to do. There’s a kink in your sink and it makes your house stink. And the dogs in your yard, are ready to charge. And I think I’ve grown used to the pain. Climbing higher up the string. I’m climbing higher up the string. Climbing higher up the string.

When the sun’s sinking low it’s the subtlest flow. And it seems to gain speed when your heart starts beating slow. It’s fallen somewhere below the clouds now. To it’s new home. Only to shine on your face again. Tomorrow. Keep your mind off the time. Get lost in rhymes. Repeat what feels good. And whenever your heart chimes. The Flying Dutchmen’s not on your tail. He just wants to say “Hi, how are you?” There’s a spot on a ship for your towards the bright yellow sun in the sky.
